• I am flying to Durham, NC  today to see Mike! Yay!

• I get to see a baby cria and hopefully a birth :]

• This past week I judged art at Oakshire Elementary, the school I adopted at work.  I got kindergarten, and this was my favorite piece:

I AM… myself: unique!

I WANT… to be truely happy.

I HAVE… a heart of gold.

I KEEP… anything that has meaning to me + to remember.

I WISH I COULD…  take off + go to a special place with someone special.

I HATE…  feeling lost.

I FEAR…  death of loved loved ones.

I HEAR…  the sound of rain tapping on the window.

I DON’T THINK…  I'll get that pic in the photobooth that I wanted before my b'day.

I REGRET…  nothing, "with every mistake, we must surely be learning" -The Beatles.

I LOVE…  how hopeful I can be and have the eyes of a child.

I ACHE FOR…  the love of my life.

I ALWAYS CRY…  when things are over.

I AM NOT…  who you think I am.

I DANCE…  alone when I'm secretly  happy.

I SING…  all the time in the car- I love to belt out the tunes! haha

I NEVER…  get up without hitting the snooze.

I RARELY…  feel truely satisfied.

I CRY WHEN I WATCH…  romantic movies.

I AM NOT ALWAYS…  happy, but who is?

I HATE THAT…  I can't forget. 

I’M CONFUSED ABOUT…  life.

I NEED…  to be loved, comforted, and held.

I SHOULD…  be more independent.

I BELIEVE...  in magic, and that it will find me.

3.  Going to see Dave Matthews for the FIRST time with Peanut Butter Puddin' Surprise at Autozone Park.

4.  Minnetonka Moccasin Woodstock :]  for the hippie in us all!

5.  This book I just started reading:  Love the One You're With by Emily Giffin (I've loved her previous books- Something Borrowed + Something Blue)

9.  It just started sprinkling :]  I love the rain!  I wish it would cool things off!  It's been at least 100 degrees here lately!  + some water for my flowers :]

Thursday Thirteen: 13 things I'm looking forward to...

1.  Handmade Stamps w/ erasers + linoleum cutters check this demo out.

2.  Make a book from old childrens book covers + pages + rebind them.  Check this out.  And this. 

3.  Get my 120 film processed + developed that I took last weekend on the beach with my diana + camera.  I hope at least a few pics turned out!

4.  Start new paintings with transfers (I *luv* transfers) + secret stuff I've been thinking about (maybe fairytales).  Trying to just have fun painting + not worrying too much. 

5.  Go to the courtyard in Olive Branch + get some yellow box sandals + get Rach a graduation present.

6.  Going to Rachel's graduation celebration- congrats on graduating teach! :]

7.  BEN FOLDS!!! Friday night at Beale Street MusicFest in Memphis,TN.

8.  Planning, Packing, and Daydreaming about my trip to Europe :]  I'm getting so excited!!! May 21st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9.  Roger wants me to "just doodle and make shapes until I find shapes I like + turn those into characters."  Sounds fun doesn't it?  "Investigate shape with wash becayse you have less control.  Just Play.  Give it a try and make some cutouts." hmm... good advice.  I need to post our book again. 10.  When I recieve this painting(the one on the left) in the mail of Elsie's + my little Rosie Dollie from the black apple.

12.  Making more time for myself :] and time for my creativities!!!  I need to start creating so I can start my own Etsy store.  I wonder whatever happened to the sketchbook project, I was supposed to be recieving my moleskin the the mail soon (turns out later).

1.  I am melancholy most of the time + love melancholy music.

2.  I love to find beauty in everyday things.

3.  I am full of hopes + dreams + I like to think I have a purpose.

4.  I like to be stress free + I hate commotion + crowded spaces.

6.  I love to makes others happy, and sometimes put them first.

7.  I love to travel + find new things.

7. catfish – from blues city on beale
8. fried deer meat – backstrap – Mississippi style
9. grilled dove – Mississippi style with bacon wrap
10.  Turkey – fried or baked – gotta be juicy
11. BBQ – commissary
12. roast – in the crock pot all day with all the fixings
13. hamburger – lately I’ve been digging Bigfoot downtown

11.  BLT- made at home with tomatoes from my grandpa's garden (they have to be red + the bacon has to be super crisp!)
12.  Really good pancakes w/ butter + syrup
13.  hmm...fried chicken + mashed potatoes w/ gravy + biscuit + cole slaw
