We went to Nashville for the night to see Jack White play. I was pretty bummed that I missed the Memphis show, so when I saw he was playing in Nashville I really wanted to go. I've always wanted to see a show at the Ryman too.
It was such a cool venue with all of its history, stained glass + church pews. The visibility wasn't great downstairs, but it was so intimate.
The Alabama Shakes opened up. I heard a few songs, but I was standing in line for merchandise through most of it. I got a t-shirt + concert only vinyl of Sixteen Saltines (in very last photo on this post). The lines were ridiculous! Everyone wanted posters, but they were sold out by the time I decided to get in line.
It was a great show! It was really short, but Zac made the point that he was really fast between songs so he fit more songs in a short time period.
The next morning, we ate breakfast at Pancake Pantry :) I try to go every time I go to Nashville. It's so good!
*All photos that aren't instagram were taken by Jo McCaughey. They were so strict about taking pictures + even threatened to kick you out if you had your phone out AT ALL :( Crazy! But the good news is that you can download pictures from any of their shows on their website so I guess that makes up for it.
